Needle Passion Embroidery Limited Web site: http://www.needlepassionembroidery.com Email address: connors@npeltd.com * * * 2 July 2007 * * * Appliqué instructions: * Hoop the background fabric and appropriate stabilizer. * Color #1: Stitches the first outline stitch on background fabric = this is the placement line for the Appliqué fabric. * Remove the hoop from the machine without removing or moving the fabric. Place the Appliqué fabric on top the outline so that it is covered. Spray adhesive can be applied to keep the fabric in place. * Color #2 (can be the same color thread as #1): Put the hoop back in the machine and stitch the second outline stitch which is the tacking line. * Remove the hoop from the machine again without removing or moving the fabric. Carefully trim the excess of the Appliqué fabric as close to the outline stitch as possible. Be very careful not to move the hooped background fabric or to cut into it. * Put your hoop back in the machine and stitch the remaining colors and part/s of the design. Optional: * Embroidery software can be used to print a design on paper to then be used as a template for easier placement. The template can also be used to cut the Appliqué fabric into shape prior to placement for stitching. However, if software or a printer is not available and you need a template, then please stitch a test design first. Cut it to shape and use it as a template. * * * A legal note about using the embroidery design/s: Items created from any of the Needle Passion Embroidery Limited (below NPE Ltd) designs may be distributed commercially without limitation unless otherwise stated in the individual design notes. However, it is a violation of copyright law to duplicate, buy, sell, trade, transfer, alter, share with others or send by e-mail copies of the design files or parts of them (the software in embroidery format). So, for clarification it is OK to sell an item where the design is stitched on whether it is for a present or you wish to sell the item. Wishing you many enjoyable moments of embroidering!
